does this mean that ahead of going public (IPO), the companies misstate financial statements by doing M&A activities, etc to show better results? and SEBI is now going to monitor this?
How can the stock be manipulated by the resignation of a key personnel, or what does their resignation indicates?
"We are setting up a new mechanism to monitor the financial misstatement or change in quarterly numbers past publishing the results, etc." How is this going to work & what can be the benefits of this?
Resignation of key personnel may indicate that something fishy is going on inside the company (maybe they were forced to resign), or maybe they didn't want to be a part of whatever was happening in the company (probably earnings manipulation). This is just my interpretation though. It could mean something else too.
